{"id":38,"date":"2015-10-03T19:09:38","date_gmt":"2015-10-03T19:09:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.frot.co.nz\/design\/deb-gully\/eft\/physical\/"},"modified":"2020-04-11T23:13:05","modified_gmt":"2020-04-11T23:13:05","slug":"physical","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.frot.co.nz\/design\/deb-gully\/eft\/physical\/","title":{"rendered":"Physical  Issues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve talked about\u00a0emotions sometimes\u00a0being\u00a0caused by a disruption\u00a0in our energy, and we can view physical symptoms the same way.<\/p>\n<p>When we have a physical issue going on, there are several\u00a0different ways we can tap:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For the physical symptoms<\/li>\n<li>For any associated emotions<\/li>\n<li>At the cellular level<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We may also need to\u00a0make some lifestyle changes, and tapping can help there too.<\/p>\n<h4>Physical symptoms<\/h4>\n<p>Start by just tapping for\u00a0the symptoms, getting as specific as you\u00a0can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Where exactly is the discomfort?<\/li>\n<li>What is the quality of it?<\/li>\n<li>How intense is it? (What is the SUDS?)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There have been many\u00a0&#8220;one minute wonders&#8221; from this most basic level of tapping, but also many\u00a0cases where being persistent was needed.<\/p>\n<p>We might also\u00a0tap on why we might have the symptom: &#8220;Even though I had a bad nights sleep, and feel tired&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<h4>Emotional aspects<\/h4>\n<p>Sometimes a physical symptom can be directly related to an underlying emotional situation. Maybe it started after a stressful event or period of time. But even\u00a0when a symptom is\u00a0a direct response to a physical or biochemical situation, later some emotional layers are often\u00a0added.<\/p>\n<p>Some questions to ask yourself:.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How does this situation make you feel?<\/li>\n<li>What was happening in your life when this started, or in the months prior?<\/li>\n<li>What are the metaphors? Louise Hay has written a lot about this.<\/li>\n<li>What is the upside or secondary gain?<\/li>\n<li>What would I lose if this went away?<\/li>\n<li>What are the beliefs that support this issue?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Cellular levels<\/h4>\n<p>This is about\u00a0addressing the physical but at a deeper level than just tapping on the symptoms, which I call the\u00a0Cellular approach. Here are some examples of detailed approaches that have been developed.<\/p>\n<h4>Immunity<\/h4>\n<p>One of my favourite tappings in this category is this three part Immunity protocol, which I think originally came from Gwenn Bonnell of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tapintoheaven.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tap Into Heaven<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tapawaypain.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tap Away Pain<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>First, get a sense of how well your immunity is running right now (XX percent), or just guess.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">1. Setup: &#8220;Even though my immunity is running at only XX percent, I fully and deeply love<br \/>\nand accept myself and my body&#8221;<br \/>\nReminder: [&#8220;Immunity running at XX percent&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. Setup: &#8220;Even though my immunity is still running under 100%, I release anything and<br \/>\neverything that lowers my immunity, as I fully and deeply love and accept myself and my<br \/>\nbody &#8221;<br \/>\nReminder: [&#8220;Release everything that lowers my immunity &#8220;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3. Setup: &#8220;Even though my immunity is not used to running at 100% all the time, I now repair<br \/>\neverything that lowers my immunity, as I fully and deeply love and accept myself and my<br \/>\nbody,&#8221;<br \/>\nReminder: [&#8220;Repair everything that lowers my immunity &#8220;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">4.
