So to introduce the concepts a bit more easily, I&#8217;ve developed a 15 step plan called &#8220;<strong>How To Enjoy Real Food&#8221;<\/strong>. The aims are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Introduce some of the key elements of whole food nutrition<\/li>\n<li>Apply these elements to everyday eating<\/li>\n<li>Show how to replace poor quality modern food stuffs with healthy alternatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The course is composed of the following 15 steps. It is suggested you add in one a week, but it\u2019s up to you how you fit it best into your timetable.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Breakfasts<\/li>\n<li>Snacks<\/li>\n<li>Drinks<\/li>\n<li>Breads <em>(some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.frot.co.nz\/design\/dietnet\/resources\/gluten2\/\">gluten free<\/a>)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Stocks, soups &amp; seasonings<\/li>\n<li>Raw veges and salads<\/li>\n<li>Baking <em>(mostly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.frot.co.nz\/design\/dietnet\/resources\/gluten2\/\">gluten free<\/a>)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Dinners<\/li>\n<li>Grains, legumes &amp; vegetarian dishes<\/li>\n<li>Organ meats, and raw meat &amp; fish dishes<\/li>\n<li>Sprouted &amp; fermented foods<\/li>\n<li>Sauces, dressings &amp; chutneys<\/li>\n<li>Desserts<\/li>\n<li>Takeaways and eating out<\/li>\n<li>Tying it all together<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<hr align=\"center\" size=\"4\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<h4><strong><b>HOW DOES IT COMPARE WITH NOURISHING TRADITIONS?<\/b><\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>It can be used as a companion to Nourishing Traditions, but is also self contained for those people who don&#8217;t have NT.<\/li>\n<li>It leads you through the concepts covered in NT, step by step, to make it easier to integrate into your lifestyle<\/li>\n<li>The bread and baking sections include <a href=\"http:\/\/www.frot.co.nz\/design\/dietnet\/resources\/gluten2\/\">gluten free<\/a> recipes<\/li>\n<li>Some of the recipes are a bit simpler for the cook with limited time<\/li>\n<li>Some recipes include &#8220;compromise&#8221; foods to help make the transition a bit easier<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr align=\"center\" size=\"4\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<h4><strong><b>WHO IS THE COURSE DESIGNED FOR?<\/b><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>People who<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>want to start with whole foods and are looking for an introductory text<\/li>\n<li>want a guide for working through the many concepts<\/li>\n<li>have got a copy of Nourishing Traditions, but are finding it a bit daunting and don&#8217;t know where to start<\/li>\n<li>are trying to combine whole food eating with a gluten free or casein free diet, and are having trouble with the bread and baking recipes in Nourishing Traditions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It does assume some basic cooking knowledge, so if you&#8217;re a total novice, you&#8217;ll also need a kitchen handbook of some kind.
