In NZ, we use TCC or Ayam brands)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup collagen hydrolysate eg\u00a0Great Lakes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.naturefoods.co.nz\/other-foods\/gelatin\/greatlakes-hydrolysate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">green can<\/a>\u00a0<em>(if you don&#8217;t have hydrolysate, see gelatin version below)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Flavourings of choice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Shake the coconut milk can well. Put the coconut milk, then everything else, in a blender (pref\u00a0high speed) and blend till thick and frothy. Pour into 3-4 serving containers and set in the fridge.<\/p>\n<p>Nice served with a few berries on top.<\/p>\n<p>Some suggested flavours:<\/p>\n<h4>AIP friendly &#8220;Chocolate&#8221;<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1 heaped Tablespoon carob<\/li>\n<li>1 heaped tsp vanilla powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you&#8217;re not doing AIP or any diet that restricts cocoa, you can use <a href=\"http:\/\/www.naturefoods.co.nz\/other-foods\/cacao-products\/cacao-powder-250\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cacao powder<\/a> or cocoa powder for a true chocolate flavour, but will need to add a little bit of natural\u00a0sweetener. You may\u00a0also be able to use vanilla essence or extract.<\/p>\n<h4>Caramel<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1 heaped Tablespoon carob<\/li>\n<li>1 heaped Tablespoon mesquite powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Berry<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1 heaped Tablespoon\u00a0mixed berry powder<\/li>\n<li>1 heaped Tablespoon pomegranate\u00a0powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Other flavours<\/h4>\n<p>These are the ones we&#8217;ve tried, but there are probably untold others. For banana, I&#8217;d try 1-2 ripe bananas and some vanilla powder. Or cooked pumpkin puree with cinnamon might be nice.<\/p>\n<h4>Variation using gelatin<\/h4>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t have hydrolysate, but do have gelatin, use this method. The texture will be more like a jelly and less like a mousse.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 x 400ml can coconut milk or cream<\/li>\n<li>1 Tablespoon\u00a0gelatin\u00a0eg\u00a0Great Lakes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.naturefoods.co.nz\/greatlakes-beef-gelatin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">beef (orange can)<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.naturefoods.co.nz\/other-foods\/greatlakes-porcine-gelatin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pork (red can)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Flavourings of choice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Empty the well shaken can of coconut milk into a saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin over the top, and whisk in. Leave to soften for a few minutes, then heat over a low element till the gelatin has dissolved.
