If you get sick, sip throughout the day.<\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">1 litre of chicken, duck or turkey stock<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated or finely chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">4-8 Tablespoons creamed coconut<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">juice of 1 lemon<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">sea salt to taste<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">Bring the stock to a boil, skim off any foam. Add the ginger (and optional extras) and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in the creamed coconut and simmer for another 5 minutes. Add the lemon juice and sea salt to taste, and serve.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">Variations:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">For an even more heating soup, also add 1\/4 teaspoon dried chilli flakes &#8211;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">OR-<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\"> 1-3 dried chillies (depending on their size)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">Use as a base for a more filling soup by adding pumpkin, butternut or kumera.
