{"id":41,"date":"2009-12-20T19:37:00","date_gmt":"2009-12-20T06:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.frot.co.nz\/design\/recipes\/2009\/12\/19\/breakfast-ideas\/"},"modified":"2021-05-18T09:42:51","modified_gmt":"2021-05-17T21:42:51","slug":"breakfast-ideas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.frot.co.nz\/design\/recipes\/breakfast-ideas\/","title":{"rendered":"Breakfast ideas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many\u00a0people\u00a0who are new to GAPS or SCD are at a loss for breakfast, if they can&#8217;t have cereal or toast.<\/p>\n<p>So here are some other thoughts on what to have for breakfast (depending on what stage you&#8217;re at):<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-AU\" style=\"font-family: Wingdings;\"><span style=\"font: normal normal normal 7pt\/normal 'Times New Roman';\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-AU\">Start with a cup of stock or soup made from stock<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-AU\">Eggs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-AU\">Grain free sausages (eg in NZ &#8211; some flavours by Stoneycreek Farm, Harmony, Acme, Hungarian Delicatessan)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Homemamde meat patties<\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-AU\">Cooked mushrooms, tomatoes or spinach<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-AU\">Homemade baked beans<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-AU\">Starch free pancakes or toast with nut butter, avocado or tinned fish<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Nut muesli with chopped &#8220;crispy&#8221; nuts, dessicated coconut, yoghurt, stevia and spices<\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-AU\">Smoothies with yoghurt, coconut or avocado<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-AU\">Fruit salad<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-AU\" style=\"font-family: Wingdings;\"><span style=\"font: normal normal normal 7pt\/normal 'Times New Roman';\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-AU\">Fruit crumble with nut topping or fruit pudding with coconut flour topping<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There is nothing special about what you can have for breakfast, you can have anything that you would eat at any other meal.
