So it helps to have the right equipment. These are the things I use most.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Crock pot or slow cooker &#8211; for stocks, soups, stews. I actually have 2 &#8211; one round and one oval and sometimes they are both going at once.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Large stockpot &#8211; for stocks and stews. You will need either a crock pot or a soup pan, and may need both.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Le Creuset enamelled cast iron frying pan &#8211; available in NZ from online shops like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tablepride.co.nz\/cs\/prodList.asp?idCategory=151&amp;TestTreeID=P_151\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Table Pride<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestudio.co.nz\/shop\/Brands\/Le+Creuset\/Le+Creuset+Frying+Pan+Blue.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Studio of Tableware<\/a>. You can use the oven, but a dehydrator is easier.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Large glass mixing bowls, jars and bottles &#8211; for making fermented food and drinks<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>A colander &#8211; this is my favourite &#8211; an old style Tupperware one that stands up by itself, or can sit on a bowl or pan.
