There a number of raw liver drink recipes around, but most people find this method the best.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Start with some good quality, grass fed, organic liver. If it doesn\u2019t look fresh with a good, rich colour, don\u2019t buy it. Lamb\u2019s fry has the best flavour; beef can be a bit strong.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Cut up and freeze the day you buy it, so it\u2019s as fresh as possible<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Cut into tiny pieces, as small as you can. If you\u2019re going to chew them, aim for \u00bd an inch or 1 cm square. If you want to swallow them whole, even smaller.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Freeze for at least 14 days, in serving size lots (say 1 oz or 25gm per day)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Take out of the freezer the night before, and leave to defrost in the fridge<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Have half in the morning and half in the afternoon.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Eat it while it\u2019s still cold for the best taste, or swallow the tiny chunks whole with some vegetable juice, as if they\u2019re vitamin pills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Raw liver is an amazing health tonic, but it\u2019s not to everybody\u2019s taste.
