If necessary, add a little cold, filtered water to get the texture right. Line a tray with baking paper. Form into balls. Press each ball gently onto the tray, just enough so that the bottom flattens out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">Top each one with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">a crispy almond pressed slightly into it<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">some melted sugar free chocolate<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">a small piece dried fruit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">Refrigerate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><strong>Variations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Hide small bits of dried fruit or small choc bites inside each one before rolling into a ball<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Stuff fresh or dried dates with the marzipan<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Use different essences to get flavours (though then it won\u2019t be marzipan!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whisk together: 1 egg white 1 tsp almond essence (extract) 2 Tbs softened butter or coconut oil 1 Tbs honey -OR- 1 Tbs maple syrup -OR- 2 Dsp glycerine and pinch stevia extract Add: 200g ground almonds Mix both together to form a paste.
