From this point on I\u2019ll refer to the low-life scumbag as \u201cdonkey\u201d because referring to him by his official name or giving that name capitals is far more respect than the lying piece of scum deserves. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00a0In fact even using his nickname \u201cdonkey\u201d is an insult to real donkeys who are generally honest and hard working animals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00a0This particular donkey is more like NZ\u2019s answer to killary klinton \u2013 a devious lying conman who would lie steal or betray in any way possible, as long as it made him some money.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Straight after Donald Trump was elected president of America, donkey rapidly and unexpectedly stood down as NZ \u201cprime\u201d minister. Several other corrupt leaders in other countries did the same thing that week.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>There are no shortage of theories as to why he would have done that. Certainly he had ties to killary klinton, and one of his scams was to sell NZ out on the TPPA \u201cagreement\u201d. Trump has repealed that agreement which means he has probably done more for NZ than any NZ leader has done since David Lange made NZ nuclear free in 1987.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00a0Although donkey was clearly involved with many other con jobs besides the TPPA, it seems likely that there was an even more compelling reason to make the evil pile of crap run off and hide the moment Trump was elected.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>One of the many people donkey has shafted was <a href=\"http:\/\/kim.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kim Dotcom<\/a>, a person many times smarter than donkey, file sharing guru and a candidate in the 2014 NZ elections. Donkey screwed him over on so many levels it was quite spectacular.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"irc_mi ixhDxr0Hliu4-pQOPx8XEepE\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-wm9MuSBNmSs\/VnpZzJWftDI\/AAAAAAAAl7Q\/NfRK-1XzOT0\/s1600\/Kimdotcom-entrepreneur-extradition.png\" alt=\"Image result for kim dotcom\" width=\"728\" height=\"380\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Because donkey had almost total control over the NZ media, most people just heard and believed donkey\u2019s official propaganda on this story, like all the others.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Rumour has it Dotcom is in possession of 2TB of NZ government emails that make Pizzagate look like a children\u2019s story (on several levels). It appears likely that Dotcom will release them some time in 2017 before the NZ elections in November, and it\u2019s unlikely that donkey will remain in NZ if these emails come to light.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Another of donkey\u2019s money making schemes is housing speculation. NZ\u2019s housing market has gone berserk under donkey\u2019s rule, and is now the most over valued of any country in the world. The NZ puppet media still likes to pretend that the reasons for the bubble are random and inexplicable. But they are not. Here are three ways to create a housing bubble. Place heavy restrictions on how many new houses can be built, allow open immigration, and allow unrestricted foreign investment. Put all three together and you have Auckland NZ.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Donkey officially owns only around 6 NZ houses, but with all his secret trust funds he is financially involved with many others. The average Auckland house price was rising NZ$1600 per week in 2016, which means donkey was making serious profit all year. And this has been happening for the past decade.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>I think it\u2019s likely the NZ housing market will crash spectacularly within the next two years. And by the time it does, donkey will certainly have sold all his NZ housing investments and moved to America where he owns several mansions.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Like many countries NZ appears to be full of gullible people who believe what the media tell them and are happy to be reamed out by a \u201cstrong leader\u201d<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00a0While we may finally be rid of donkey now, his legacy may drag this beautiful country down to his pond scum depths for decades to come. An agenda that does not stem solely from the ruling Party. It comes from on high.<\/p>\n<p>From the description of the above video, posted in April 2014:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c<em>Last month, the kiwi government tabled a bill that would remove the current 28% tax rate on income incurred by non-residents investing in funds held in New Zealand.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The move by the government is the latest to entice investors to domicile assets on its shores. A year ago, prime minister John Key, a former Merrill Lynch banker, created a focus group to examine how the nation could become more welcoming to foreign assets and enlisted consultant Oliver Wyman to examine the country\u2019s options.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The consultancy\u2019s recommendation was to market New Zealand as a funds domicile in the Asia-Pacific region.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>The Puppet-Masters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As depicted in \u2018<em>House of Cards<\/em>\u2018, even at Presidential level, the real government is who the leaders of countries talk to when they get home at night.<\/p>\n<p>And who they are talking to is people with great wealth, who know damn well what a foreign trust is, and how to utilise tax havens to their benefit.<\/p>\n<p>Tax havens like New Zealand, run for the last eight years by arguably the most pro-Wall Street, pro-America Prime Minister in generations: ex-Member of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, John Key.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Zealand and the Panama Papers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>New Zealand is once again in an uproar and debate is evolving at a swift pace. It has just discovered that it is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stuff.co.nz\/business\/world\/78809108\/new-zealand-banks-used-by-calabrian-mafia-says-italian-investigator-and-author\">laundering haven for drug money<\/a> and other illicit international funds, and that the personal lawyer of the leader of the country was involved in lobbying to ensure that the legislative status quo with regards to offshore trusts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvnz.co.nz\/one-news\/new-zealand\/john-keys-lawyers-involvement-in-lobbying-government-over-tax-laws-revealed\">remained intact<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Our already-scandal-plagued Prime Minister is doing his best to cling to power, attempting to sidestep these latest revelations as deftly as he has countless prior instances of mass public indignation \u2013 rare moments in which the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.endarken.co.nz\/new-media-ethics-and-how-to-stop-journalists-being-killed\/#the-nz-media-apocalypse\/\">mostly-cowed<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvnz.co.nz\/one-news\/new-zealand\/750-jobs-go-job-losses-feared-if-media-rivals-merge\">constantly-culled<\/a> national press corp begin to do their job.<\/p>\n<p>After all, the Panama Papers\u2019 whistle-blower\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/panamapapers.icij.org\/20160506-john-doe-statement.html\">recent statement<\/a> singled out John Key and New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-545\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ppwb.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 964px) 100vw, 964px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ppwb.png 964w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ppwb-467x650.png 467w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ppwb-768x1070.png 768w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ppwb-861x1200.png 861w\" alt=\"ppwb\" width=\"964\" height=\"1343\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thestandard.org.nz\/why-was-john-key-singled-out-by-panama-papers-hacker\/\"><em>The Standard<\/em> wants to know,<\/a> why?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-469\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/jk1.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1275px) 100vw, 1275px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/jk1.png 1275w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/jk1-500x513.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/jk1-768x788.png 768w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/jk1-1170x1200.png 1170w\" alt=\"jk1\" width=\"982\" height=\"1007\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Because we are a country run by a man who has helped unleash this same agenda upon other countries before, with disastrous effect.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20120106160817\/http:\/\/publiccreditorbust.blog.com\/2011\/06\/13\/john-key-says-we-dont-want-to-end-up-like-ireland-but-at-the-same-time-is-setting-us-up-to-be-just-like-ireland-corporate-financial-sector-sweetheart-deals-which-they-used-to-rob-the-place-and-leave-i\/\">Countries like Ireland.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Back in 2011, Ireland was Greece. Being strong-armed by the IMF, bound to Greek-style austerity measures to stave off impending bankruptcy.<\/p>\n<p>Bankruptcy that loomed because of \u201c<em>a mirage driven by clever use of tax-haven rules and a huge credit boom that permitted real estate prices and construction to grow quickly before declining ever more rapidly.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-485\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ireland.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1912px) 100vw, 1912px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ireland.png 1912w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ireland-500x359.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ireland-768x552.png 768w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ireland-1600x1150.png 1600w\" alt=\"ireland\" width=\"1157\" height=\"832\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Guess who was making full use of Ireland to reduce the tax liability of offshore funds on behalf of his wealthy clientele?<\/p>\n<p>John Key.<\/p>\n<p>How do we know this?<\/p>\n<p>Because he said so.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Zealand Prime Minister Telling Porkies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In an enthusiastic <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/company-taxation\/news\/article.cfm?c_id=691&amp;objectid=10336608\">2005 interview with Fran O\u2019Sullivan<\/a> of the NZ Herald, then future Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key bragged about how his moving businesses and funds offshore to Ireland had saved his Merrill Lynch clientele megabucks.<\/p>\n<p>From the July 19, 2005 article:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/www.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1169px) 100vw, 1169px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/www.png 1169w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/www-500x380.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/www-768x584.png 768w\" alt=\"www\" width=\"988\" height=\"751\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Key words\u2026 <em>\u2018Head of global foreign exchange\u2019; Ireland; \u201c..huge chunk of private clients\u2019 business\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Fran O\u2019Sullivan writes of Key, \u201c<em>But as a former money-man, he is also interested in how Jersey built its economy on the back of offshore trusts.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>However, this doesn\u2019t seem to faze the NZ Herald, which on April 6th, 2016, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/business\/news\/article.cfm?c_id=3&amp;objectid=11618024\">effectively whitewashed the O\u2019Sullivan article<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While the above \u2018offshore trusts\u2019 quote is addressed in a forgiving tone (bizarrely, by being reiterated), there is no mention whatsoever of the \u201c<em>huge chunk of private clients\u2019 business<\/em>\u201d that Key moved to Ireland for tax purposes as Head of global foreign exchange for Merrill Lynch.<\/p>\n<p>Yet by contrast, in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.radionz.co.nz\/news\/political\/303380\/nz-%27wrong-place-to-be-secret%27-pm\">this video of his May 9th press conference<\/a>, Key has the following exchange:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Reporter: \u201c<em>The Papers show that a lot of the overseas people are using it for business interests, not connected to inheritance or things that you\u2019ve talked about in terms of opposition parties in countries that are unstable and that sort of thing. What reason would someone, in Mexico for example, using a business deal, have to set up a trust in New Zealand?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>John Key: \u201c<em>So the first thing you appreciate is that I haven\u2019t seen the papers. So it\u2019s very difficult to comment when I can\u2019t see the individual cases. Nor am I a tax expert so I can\u2019t comment on individual cases. But, for example, apparently there was one case that I just heard someone talking about where the person was Mexican, and had set up a Trust because they were uncertain about Mexican inheritance law, tax law, and that\u2019s legitimate.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In short: He doesn\u2019t know what\u2019s in the Papers, even though he was Minister in charge of the New Zealand equivalent of the CIA. He \u201c<em>isn\u2019t a tax expert<\/em>\u201d and says he can\u2019t comment on individual cases\u2026 but then does.<\/p>\n<p>The exchange continues:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Reporter: <em>\u201cThere are plenty of examples that just refer to straight business deals. So why would someone with no connection to New Zealand be setting up Trusts here?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>John Key: \u201c<em>I can\u2019t answer why that is. Well, New Zealand is a jurisdiction which is a good jurisdiction to do that and for all the reasons that we know. That we do have exchange of information, that we do have transparency, that we do meet the highest possible codes, so there\u2019s all sorts of reasons that people might, but you have to go and ask those who establish those why they do that, I\u2019m just not an expert in that area.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So John Key, who moved an \u201c<em>aircraft leasing business, <\/em><em>the complex interest rates derivatives business, the entire back office for global foreign exchange and a huge chunk of private clients\u2019 business\u201d<\/em> to Ireland on behalf of one of the biggest investment banking firms in the world, in order \u201cto take advantage of a 10 per cent tax rate for foreign investors\u201d \u2013 an \u201cinvestment\u201d described as a \u201crunaway success\u201d \u2013 is \u201c<em>not a tax expert\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>He claims that the reason all these overseas businesses are setting up accounts in New Zealand is purely because of good compliance and transparency.<\/p>\n<p>Over 10,000 in total \u2013 flocking to New Zealand because they want increased compliance and visibility?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-508\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/trusts.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1149px) 100vw, 1149px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/trusts.png 1149w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/trusts-500x394.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/trusts-768x606.png 768w\" alt=\"trusts\" width=\"926\" height=\"730\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the <a href=\"http:\/\/thedailyblog.co.nz\/2015\/07\/29\/you-simply-have-to-watch-professor-jane-kelsey-rip-mike-hosking-to-pieces-over-the-tppa\/\">infamous words of Dr. Jane Kelsey<\/a> \u2013 \u201c<em>I think I just saw a flock of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stuff.co.nz\/business\/5953161\/A-real-trade-deal-or-will-pigs-fly\">flying pigs<\/a> go by!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Some professional tax and trust lawyers have been so good as to publish <a href=\"http:\/\/www.parryfield.com\/new-zealand-as-financial-hub\/\">a copy of their submission in support<\/a> of John Key\u2019s \u201cfinancial hub\u201d scheme, on their commercial website.<\/p>\n<p>One such example is Christchurch\u2019s Parry Field.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-537\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/lawsub.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1255px) 100vw, 1255px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/lawsub.png 1255w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/lawsub-500x535.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/lawsub-768x822.png 768w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/lawsub-1121x1200.png 1121w\" alt=\"lawsub\" width=\"1100\" height=\"1178\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The opening position in their submission is nothing short of astounding. They posit:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u2018One may ask, \u201c<em>Why introduce tax rules that would benefit wealthy foreigners?<\/em>\u201d We think this is the wrong starting point, and the question should rather be: \u201cWhy not?\u201d\u2019<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Under the sub-heading \u201c<em>Why would any fund manager choose New Zealand?<\/em>\u201d Parry Field suggest eight answers, and allude to \u201c<em>many more<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>None of which are transparency or high compliance standards, as John Key asserted at his press conference. In fact, they cite a lack of regulations as being part of the attraction:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cRegulations imposed by the European Union and other supra-national bodies are making life increasingly difficult for the traditional financial centres.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The cherry on the cake:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-541\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/risks.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1165px) 100vw, 1165px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/risks.png 1165w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/risks-500x162.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/risks-768x249.png 768w\" alt=\"risks\" width=\"1110\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Inland Revenue Department themselves have a different take on why tax fund managers choose New Zealand:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-584\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ird.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1338px) 100vw, 1338px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ird.png 1338w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ird-500x348.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ird-768x534.png 768w\" alt=\"ird\" width=\"1066\" height=\"741\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Back to the press conference, once it is a veteran government apologist asking a question, John Key starts sounding very much like a tax expert.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Barry Soper: \u201cPrime Minister it is said that overseas businesses use trusts in New Zealand to avoid tax. Well we\u2019re not undermining our tax base. But is it acceptable that they\u2019re using\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John Key: \u201c\u2026It is possible, for people to potentially, through the mismatches of the different tax systems, if they want to be creative and work hard, to significantly reduce their tax liability but in a lawful way. That is at least possible for what some multinationals are doing, and we don\u2019t like that, and we\u2019d like to close that down\u2026 but we can\u2019t just magically say, New Zealand is going to stop that, we need other countries to work with us.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So the rest of the world is to blame?<\/p>\n<p>That Key fronted at all for the press conference is reassuring. The previous day he had reportedly missed his regular radio spot for the first time ever.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-475\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sf.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1221px) 100vw, 1221px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sf.png 1221w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sf-500x227.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sf-768x348.png 768w\" alt=\"sf\" width=\"1029\" height=\"467\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In New Zealand they call him \u2018Teflon John\u2019 and say nothing will stick to him \u2013 and this is why: <a href=\"http:\/\/thestandard.org.nz\/the-great-big-list-of-john-keys-big-fat-lies-updated\/\">443 demonstrable lies and counting<\/a>, and he is still in office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Analysing The Spin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The predominant narratives coming out in John Key\u2019s defense have all been heard before.<\/p>\n<p>They are being regurgitated because they have worked in the past. He has thusfar retained his throne.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018left-wing conspiracy theorist\u2019 slur Key slung about in response to <em>Dirty Politics<\/em> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Pbps1EwAW-0\">Moment of Truth<\/a>, is back.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-512\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/lwct-1.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1281px) 100vw, 1281px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/lwct-1.png 1281w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/lwct-1-500x476.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/lwct-1-768x731.png 768w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/lwct-1-1260x1200.png 1260w\" alt=\"lwct\" width=\"1143\" height=\"1089\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So is \u2018<em>I haven\u2019t read it<\/em>\u2018, and \u2018<em>I\u2019m not an expert in that<\/em>.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Pet commentators \u2013 and paid commentators \u2013 are hard at work, plugging away at defending the indefensible.<\/p>\n<p>The most notable and obvious of whom are Chris Trotter (yes \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/chris-trotter-whaleoil-strange-bedfellows-or-birds-of-a-feather\/\">this Chris Trotter<\/a>) and long-time military-slash-financial-industrial-complex propagandist Matthew Hooton.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-514\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mhcof.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1201px) 100vw, 1201px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mhcof.png 1201w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mhcof-500x248.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mhcof-768x381.png 768w\" alt=\"mhcof\" width=\"1016\" height=\"504\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Famously implicated in <a href=\"http:\/\/dirtypoliticsnz.com\/\">Nicky Hager\u2019s book<\/a><em>\u2018Dirty Politics\u2019<\/em>, and representing clients of a particular ilk that tend to be inconvenienced by Hager\u2019s internationally-acclaimed investigative journalism, Hooton has many axes to grind.<\/p>\n<p>He decries the documents as \u2018secret\u2019, and complains about only the journalists being able to see them.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-516\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mh6.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1148px) 100vw, 1148px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mh6.png 1148w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mh6-500x172.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mh6-768x264.png 768w\" alt=\"mh6\" width=\"1049\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Having apparently forgotten that he complained about only journalists being able to see them, he then complains about them being publically released too. Hooton conflates the investigation to include all trustees and plays the privacy card despite being ideologically and professionally opposed to everything that actual privacy activists stand for.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-520\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mh5.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1128px) 100vw, 1128px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mh5.png 1128w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mh5-500x165.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mh5-768x253.png 768w\" alt=\"mh5\" width=\"1052\" height=\"347\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And yes \u2013 this is from the very man who was revealed to have \u2013 and admitted to \u2013 supplied Nicky Hager\u2019s home address to political operatives with a vendetta against him.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-521\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mhb.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1220px) 100vw, 1220px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mhb.png 1220w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mhb-500x273.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mhb-768x419.png 768w\" alt=\"mhb\" width=\"1220\" height=\"665\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-523\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mha.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1220px) 100vw, 1220px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mha.png 1220w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mha-500x261.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/mha-768x400.png 768w\" alt=\"mha\" width=\"1220\" height=\"636\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The smearing of journalists and interference in their careers is a common theme revealed in the book <em>Dirty Politics<\/em>, and even after its release, the practice overtly continued.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-564\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ppgg.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1177px) 100vw, 1177px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ppgg.png 1177w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ppgg-500x203.png 500w, https:\/\/www.spinbin.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/ppgg-768x313.png 768w\" alt=\"ppgg\" width=\"1177\" height=\"479\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So the Prime Minister has told porkies by the hundreds and the chief defenders of his socio-economic group leave much to be desired.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Doctorates vs. Spin Doctors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Whether John Key sticks it out or is finally toppled remains to be seen. At his press conference, the strain was palpable.
