Typically this will be something along the lines of Canon SX666, ISO 666, 66mm, 6 ev, f\/6.6, 1\/66.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"PostFull__body entry-content\" style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<div class=\"MarkdownViewer Markdown\">\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/640x0\/https:\/\/www.steemimg.com\/images\/2016\/09\/20\/geek202ff.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Clearly, for some people, this information is so overwhelmingly gripping that things like location, date, photographer or what on earth the photo is actually a picture of, can all be dispensed with. Really if you know what the lens and aperture is, what else do you need to know?<\/p>\n<p>Following this minimalist style of describing things, women could be \u201cJane 36\/28\/34\u201d and men could be \u201cJohn $54,000 pa\u201d. When watching the Tour de France, a stage winner might be \u201cPeter, DuraAce, 53x11T\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/640x0\/https:\/\/www.steemimg.com\/images\/2016\/09\/20\/petersagan201689064.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My favourite photographer on Steemit,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/steemit.com\/@daxon\">@daxon<\/a>, recently posted \u201cBeing a great photographer is a mindset. It has nothing to do with the camera you use\u201d. I\u2019m sure that is one of the reasons why he consistently takes absolutely amazing photos &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/steemit.com\/photography\/@daxon\/photography-how-to-really-become-great-part-2-create-curiosity-and-anticipation\">https:\/\/steemit.com\/photography\/@daxon\/photography-how-to-really-become-great-part-2-create-curiosity-and-anticipation<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For anyone who wants to find out about camera gear, I highly recommend the site\u00a0<a title=\"This link will take you away from steemit.com\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dpreview.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">https:\/\/www.dpreview.com\/<\/a>\u00a0where you can read about camera gear (and see really in depth camera reviews) until the cows come home<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/640x0\/https:\/\/www.steemimg.com\/images\/2016\/09\/20\/cow2620a0.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For me, the two most important things in a camera are that it\u2019s a Canon so I know where all the controls are, and that it\u2019s small enough to fit in my pocket, so that it\u2019s there when I need it.<\/p>\n<p>Most modern cameras tend to be pretty high spec and can take photos that are high res enough to do website stuff with. Two of my favourite photo editing tools are the Android app Snapseed, and Adobe Photoshop \u2013 either Photoshop 7 (2002) or Creative Suite 6 (2012).<\/p>\n<p>And now for a possible new trend in photo descriptions:<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/640x0\/https:\/\/www.steemimg.com\/images\/2016\/09\/20\/boats5a1e48.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Photo taken with right hand, while eating a carob bar, and wearing Asics shoes<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/640x0\/https:\/\/www.steemimg.com\/images\/2016\/09\/20\/wharf6658d8.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Photo taken while wearing purple Pink Floyd T-shirt, and a blue Cactus backpack, with itchy nuts<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/640x0\/https:\/\/www.steemimg.com\/images\/2016\/09\/20\/wharf32e71a.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Photo taken while wearing orange beanie, having just been to dentist, and walking to the bus<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/640x0\/https:\/\/www.steemimg.com\/images\/2016\/09\/20\/beanie4f5a7f.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Photo taken while my camera battery needs changing, I\u2019m drinking Pump mineral water, and wiping my nose on my hankie<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/steemitimages.com\/640x0\/https:\/\/www.steemimg.com\/images\/2016\/09\/20\/stufff10ba.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Photo taken after laying out all the things I just mentioned on the bed so I could take a photo of them, while eating some Danish cheese.<\/p>\n<p>And what else would anyone possibly want to know a photo? If it\u2019s true that a picture says a thousand words, then words are redundant anyway.
