Before going any further I just want to make it clear that this post is not satirical and I am convinced every word of this is true.

About five years ago on Steemit there used to be hundreds of unbelievably lame comments on many of the posts. Many of them were long and complex with lots of words, but they made no sense whatsoever.

That was because they were written by bots, and clearly Steemit was being used for AI development of comment bots.

There were also lots of very short replies – ranging from “LOL” or “Nice” to “I love your posts” or “You are a faggot” It was harder to tell if these were written by bots or retards.

Later on Hive I became good friends with an intelligent man going by the usename @baah, who often left complex, thoughtful, and meaningful comments on my posts. When I stopped posting on Hive he became lonely and followed me to Blurt.

Over the past week he has been acting very oddly and I’m worried that he has been killed off and replaced by a bot. He has just done 25 replies on my posts, and he can’t seem to decide what he is disagreeing with.

Our typical interactions now go something like this:

ME: The sky is blue.
BAAH: No it isn’t you retard, the sky is black.
ME: Yes, you are right, the sky is black.
BAAH: Lolololololol you faggot, the sky is red.
ME: Are you OK?
BAAH: Obviously. Lololol. The retard is retarded and proud.

And on in this vein our interactions go. I am worried about my friend @baah, not long before he started behaving strangely he did a post on Twitter saying he was going vegan and was thinking about cutting his penis off with a bread knife and transitioning.
